This multi-instrument musician of the Day Street Brothel spawned from 20+ years of guitar, 15+ years of live music such as frontman and lead guitarist of long running projects "Stone Cross" and "PYNCH". After making the transition to bass guitar, Ryan recorded and performed under the names "JAWDOG" and "The Amigos" ... both bands had performed opening acts for Eric Voice, whom Doug Smith was then playing lead guitar for. 3 years before the DSB would be formed, Doug shared some demo material with Ryan and after a review asked Doug, "call me if you need any bass tracks added and / or if you are looking to form a band". That call came in 2008 when finalization of The Day Street Brothel debut release was being recorded, and Ryan was invited to the studio and asked to contribute percussion and backing vocals on select tracks. After Jonathan Berry and Al Olner completed the DSB line-up, the chemistry was complete to provide a smoking live show with no lack of attitude! Musical Influences: Primus, Pink Floyd, SRV, Ozzy, Zakk Wylde, Floater, Matt Woodward (Guitar Teacher) |
