[ Click here or individual bio's ] ![]() What would the end result of a band be, if you took KISS + Metallica + Godsmack + Black Label Society + a dash of 80's Rock Influence?
Formed in 2007 by singer/songwriter/guitarist Douglas B. Smith, The Day Street Brothel is a rock band from Kingston, Ontario that continues to make a name for themselves via their 1st CD release, a self titled, 15 track disc, and via their live performance. The following is a quote from a recent album review by PartyInKingston.com, which ends up complimenting the CD & Live Show:
The 1st release from The Day Street Brothel CD is a rock ballad titled "Heaven Sent", which, the night of the DSB's inaugural show was aired on Kingston's rock station K-Rock 105.7 one hour before doors opened. When the DSB performed Heaven Sent at the end of the night, the crowd sang in unity with the band, the opening lines of the song. The Day Street Brothel is a working band, a band that will guarantee a performance of 100% at any event, for any audience, & will have the crowd singing along to their catchy lyrics, dancing along to their infectious grooves, moshing to their powerful hard rock riffs, and wanting more when the DSB leaves the stage! The DSB song "Heaven Sent" is featured on the U.S compilation "Auditory Assault" released through Bare Metal Records, and The Day Street Brothel is the only Canadian band on the disc. This marks the 2nd time an American label has included one of Douglas' songs, the 1st being Quickstar Productions, which included Douglas' song "Gonna Make You Mine" on their "Chill Out" acoustic compilation, which Douglas was again, the Only Canadian featured.
Event organizers, club owners, & music promoters do not need to look any further than...
