| "You know what I LOVE about the DSB more than any other thing? NONE of the members parade around acting all "I'm a fucking rockstar, bow to me". They are all appreciative of ALL their fans and they love to give the awesome tunes to us.
When you thank them for a killer show, they say "no, thank you. That's what we like to do. We like to rock you". They would NEVER say "well duh, obviously it was good, I'm a fucking rock star."

- Spring is in the air and there are lots of fantastic happenings at LukasRossi.com! During the month of March, we ran a songwriting contest and encouraged everyone to participate. Entrants were provided a music track and invited to submit lyrics, melodies, and full recordings. We are pleased to announce the winner of this contest, along with a very special Honorable Mention because it was so very very close.
- The winner is Steve Blankenship of New York, NY! Steve's submission will be welded with Lukas' flavor to make a great song that will appear on Lukas' solo album. Congratulations to Steve!
- We would also like to give Honorable Mention and a special Ontario shout-out to Douglas Smith of Day Street Brothel! Doug's entry was killer and we were very impressed. Military Families Fund
The Military Families Fund was created in April 2007 by General Rick Hillier, the former Chief of Defence Staff to assist military families faced with unforeseen and often immediate needs that have resulted due to conditions of service. The fund continues to grow through the generous contributions of Canadians, corporations and other organizations, adding a new vehicle to support Canadian Forces members and their families.
Soldier On Fund
Soldier On will contribute to optimizing the functional independence of ill or injured CF personnel or former personnel by delivering programs and services and facilitating and integrating opportunities that support their full and active participation in physical fitness, health promotion and sport.

The Day Street Brothel will be ringing in the New Year with a bang, with a Kingston show at Time To Laugh Comedy Club on January 2nd 2010. The DSB will co-headline this show with the OTHER best Hard Rock band from the Limestone City, Revmatic!!

"Not So Perfect After All" from the DSB's self titled album made an appearance on the Born Stubborn Radio podcast in episode #42. Future episodes will use the song as theme music.
- The Day Street Brothel is currently writing & rehearsing new DSB material for their sophomore CD.
The band plans to enter Concept Audio in late 2009 to begin recording.
Tentative release date is Spring 2010.
